La Braccesca Nobile di Montepulciano 2021

After the dry summer of 2021, the Merlot harvest started in mid-September, with the Sangiovese brought in two weeks later. Primary aromas of red cherry, rose and mint have a slightly candied character but are ultimately fresh. The palate expresses a certain lushness of both fruit and tannins. Plump peach and plum are supported by fine, grainy tannins. The juicy acidity is integrated, and a stony mineral note underscores the palate. More naive than complex at the moment. Maturation, as always, is in a combination of 70% 25hl French oak casks and 30% used tonneaux.

Rich ruby red with purple reflections. Ripe cranberries on the nose, needs a little time to open up, echoes of leather and oregano. Juicy on the palate, young, with well-integrated acidity, grippy tannins, some wood still noticeable on the finish.
