Las Paradas 2020

The 2020 Las Paradas is darker and more concentrated and feels a little riper than the 2019 I tasted next to it, reflecting a warmer year. The quality of the tannins is not the same, there is a little more rusticity here, and the ripeness of those tannins is not as perfect. 1,100 bottles were filled in May 2022. - Luis Gutiérrez. 

A serious Campo de Borja here with plenty of ripe red berries, moss, licorice and a hint of balsamic savoriness. Bright and really succulent on the palate with intense berries and tamarind characters. Tannins are very firm but dusty and dissolved, showing lots of focus in the long, engaging finish. Ethereal in nature but it has gravity, too. Delicious now, but it can hold. - Zekun Shuai, Senior Editor.
