Txakoli K5 2014

I tasted some back vintages, including the 2014 K5 that I had not tasted before. It's slightly lower in alcohol and higher in acidity, which means a sharper profile even after 10 months in tank with the lees. I think this vintage is more pleasant to drink right now, with enough complexity, keeping the freshness and not showing any fatigue. The nose shows more of the smokiness provided by the lees, amplified by the years it has spent in bottle. And the palate is vibrant and sharp. This is my favorite today. 28,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in August 2015.
