Vallegarcía Viognier 2022

While Viognier may not be common in Spain, it works exceptionally well in the vineyards of the Vallegarcia Pago in Montes de Toledo. Grown at 850m, this is a very fresh interpretation of the variety with attractive bitterness and white peach. It’s oily without being heavy, cut with bright grapefruit pith. The oak (30% new) is very well integrated and adds a savoury green olive lift on the finish. 2024 - 2027.

The white 2022 Viognier showcases the warm year with a ripe wine with 14.53% alcohol, despite an early harvest. It's a wine with an exuberant nose and a voluptuous palate with a bitter twist in the finish. Only 20% of the wine was put in barrel, the rest was in stainless steel. 14,393 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023.
