Aciano El Pego 2020

The red 2020 Aciano is pure Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) and comes from a single vineyard in the village of El Pego, three hectares that were planted ungrafted in 1919 on sandy soils with sandstone. It fermented with full clusters and a long maceration, matured in barrels and foudres for one year and was fine-tuned in concrete for one more year. It has ripeness and comes in at 14% alcohol, with a nose of wild berries, flowers, herbs and spices and a round and lush palate with ripe and tasty flavors and a chalky finish. 8,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in May 2023.
