Alonso del Yerro 2011

"The 2011 Crianza is a selection of Tempranillo grapes fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 10-15 months in a combination of new (15%) and used French oak barrels. It starts off fairly reduced, so it would benefit from energetic decanting. When it opens up, it feels marginally riper than the 2010, with notes of prunes, black cherries, tar and graphite, the oak well integrated with the fruit. The palate is full-bodied, with abundant, dusty tannins and moderate acidity. Drink now-2019".
